Brico – Why We Invested

We’re thrilled today to announce our investment in Brico. As pre-seed investors, where so much of what we see is a team and an outline of an idea, a company will come along that makes us say “why doesn’t this exist yet?”. Brico was that company. 

The pain points of licensing are something that has plagued our portfolio companies – and us as operators – for as long as we’ve been in the industry. Brico’s simple, smart, tech-driven solution instantly resonated. And we saw this dynamic at play even at the earliest stages, where Brico had secured customers within weeks of incorporating. 

The additional special ingredient that compelled us to lead the pre-seed round was Snigdha herself. An absolute powerhouse, we were able to have a front row seat to all of the amazing things she accomplished while at Digit (another Restive portfolio company). We knew that she had the drive, experience, and insight to actually transform this industry. Working alongside her for the past year+ has only strengthened that conviction.
